Position Summary: The Patient Registration Specialist is responsible for registering patients and scheduling appointments in a timely and friendly manner.
Essential Functions
Greet patients
Collect patient demographic information
Verify insurance coverage
Collect payments
Schedule appointments
Provide backup coverage for clinic switchboard
Education/Qualifications
High School diploma required
Minimum of 1 year of medical office experience preferred
Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and basic medical terminology
EMR experience, Epic preferred
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
