Payroll Administrator
Our client is a dynamic and impactful non-profit organization dedicated to offering a wide array of programs for children in our state. They strive to make a positive difference in the community and beyond, working tirelessly to address important social issues and improve the lives of those they serve.
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure they are up-to-date
- Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments
- Generate and distribute paychecks or arrange for direct deposit
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
- Prepare payroll reports for management as needed
- Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations related to payroll and ensure compliance
- Assist with other finance-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Proven experience as a payroll administrator or similar role
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations
- Proficiency with payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience working in a non-profit organization is a plus
