Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and competitive bid proposals for large and complex projects
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop detailed cost estimates
  • Evaluate materials, equipment, and labor requirements necessary for project construction
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information for bids
  • Utilize estimating software and tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency in bid preparation
  • Conduct site visits and participate in pre-bid meetings as required

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of experience as an Estimator
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably with asphalt and concrete paving experience
  • Ability to interpret construction documents, blueprints, and specifications
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS, Bid2Win, B2W)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience
