Job Description:

The Job

As the AHHS Human Resources (HR) Coordinator, you are responsible for completing administrative duties for the Human Resources department.  You will assist the (HR Team) with recruitment, employee onboarding, minimal basic policy guidance, leave of absences, submission of Workday basic tasks, and help maintain the corporate culture through employee events, recognition programs all while providing administrative support to all employees.

What you will do…

ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

  • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding and offboarding initiatives to new hires and separated employees.
  • Create reports and presentations as needed.
  • Acquisition support – creating offer letters, inputting new employes into Benefits Platform (Employee Navigator).
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions as needed and requested by HR Team.
  • Attend bi-weekly HR POC Meetings and take notes for distribution to HR POCs.
  • Complete unemployment forms/claims and submit information as requested.

ONBOARDING & NEW HIRE ORIENTATION

  • Welcome new hires on their first day and provide orientation overview.
  • Work through onboarding checklist for all new hires.
  • Ordering of all new hire material and providing material to HRM’s for New Hires

RECRUITMENT

  • Assisting in submitting background checks, drug screening and travel arrangements.
  • Communicate pre-employment status updates to hiring managers and General Managers.
  • Assist in recruitment efforts and submit job postings in Workday.  This can include being a back-up to recruiters for intake meetings, conducting phone screens, sourcing resumes and posting positions through various sites.  

RECOGNITION & ENGAGEMENT

  • Leads employee engagement initiatives for Corporate employees and partners with branch POC as needed.
  • Partner with HRM and HR POC on company events and recognition initiatives.

LEAVE OF ABSENCES

  • Facilitate the administrative process for all leaves
  • Upload new leaves on the tracker
  • Partner with HRM’s on approvals/denials
  • Send communications and forms to employees

TRACKING & REPORTING,

  • EEOC report and analysis
  • Administrator of Survey Monkey – updating surveys and creating new ones for the team
  • Filling out all unemployment claims
  • Submit Workday time payments as needed (for vacation payouts, etc.)

What you need to succeed…

  • 2-3+ years of HR Experience in a corporate setting
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining professional relationships
  • Strong customer service orientation and demonstrated administrative experience
  • Expertise in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet and social media sites
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality 
  • Autonomous and empowered to go beyond status quo.
  • Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and human resources.  
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Emphasis on Human Resources a plus
  • Comfortable working in Oak Brook, IL
