This role will align division leadership's strategy and vision with the day-to-day operations of the business development team and supervise the Senior Cost Specialists.This is a hybrid role based in Washington, DC.Primary Functions & Responsibilities:Business Development Team Management
- Regularly works with division leadership as a member of the Business Development management team.
- Leads the BD overhead and revenue planning process with BD Director by analyzing spending and projecting future rates of return.
- Contributes to business development planning discussions with regional divisions to support revenue goals.
- Advises on planning discussions to allocate funds by providing intel on current country portfolios.Cost Team Leadership and Oversight
- Provides oversight over Cost Team personnel and manages overall cost application volume.
- Works closely with the BD Technical Team to align strategy and operations.
- Builds cost and budget compliance across the Institute.
- Responsible for developing curriculum and conducting training for budgeting and cost matters.Cost Application Management
- Oversees cost application process for all business development opportunities.
- Leads continuous improvement efforts for cost development tools and templates.
- Collaborates with proposal team and business development staff to provide strategic cost inputs.Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 6-8 years of experience in USG-funded projects.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Experience working with accounting and ERP systems.
- Working knowledge of applicable federal government circulars.
