We are looking for a Vice President (VP) of Product Development to lead ADP’s enterprise reporting platform . In today’s data-driven landscape, seamless access to data and insights is essential for businesses managing their human capital. This platform serves as a foundational component within our global Human Capital Management solutions. As a key executive, you will shape the strategic vision, development, and delivery of an innovative product that empowers clients with easy access to insights, helping them drive business success. This is a pivotal executive role charged with guiding the strategic direction, development, and delivery of an innovative software platform.

The VP will lead a global, diverse, multidisciplinary team focused on engineering, product development, architecture, and production operations. Integral to the role, the VP will collaborate closely with leaders from various Business Units (BUs) to ensure that the reporting platform not only aligns with but also exceeds the functionality, reliability, and scalability demands of our major Human Capital Management platforms. This leadership position is crucial for driving international team coordination and fostering innovation across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executive Leadership: Influence ADP's strategic direction by ensuring product development aligns with overall business objectives.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with Business Unit leaders to define long-term product roadmaps, feature sets, and development milestones.
  • Product Development: Manage all phases of product development from concept to market launch, ensuring that products exceed customer expectations and comply with industry standards.
  • Engineering Excellence: Mentor and guide a world-class engineering team dedicated to creating scalable, reliable, and high-performance products.
  • Architecture Strategy: Direct the technology architecture strategy for the ADP Reporting Platform to ensure long-term scalability and sustainability.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee production operations, leading prompt resolutions to operational issues to minimize impact on clients.
  • Customer Alignment: Engage closely with customer success, sales, and marketing teams to ensure that products are customer-centric and meet market demands.
  • Quality & Compliance: Establish and uphold quality standards; ensure compliance with industry and regulatory requirements and manage comprehensive quality assurance processes.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential operational or product risks and collaborate across functions to mitigate them before they affect clients.
  • Talent Management: Build a high-performing, cohesive team through strategic recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Innovation: Drive continuous upskilling and adoption of innovative designs and technologies. Promote advanced practices to maintain cutting-edge products, fostering a culture of ongoing learning and agility.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: In a relevant field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Business Management.
  • Advanced Degree: A Master's degree or MBA is often preferred, particularly in Technology Management, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Senior Leadership: Minimum of 15 years in product development, with at least 5-8 years in a senior leadership role, overseeing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Industry Experience: Deep knowledge of and experience in developing data solutions and Human Capital Management solutions, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), or related business applications.
  • Track Record: Proven history of leading a global team of engineers and successfully bringing products from concept to market, including experience with highly scalable and reliable software platforms.
  • Operational Excellence: Experience in overseeing end-to-end production operations, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Experience collaborating with other departments like Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support to ensure a well-rounded product strategy.
