This position requires assisting the Merchandising Operations Director on all operation responsibilities within the Merchandising Department.  The position requires an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, be detail oriented, self-sufficient, dependable, ability to cope under pressure, maintain good judgement, eager to learn and have a professional, supportive attitude.

Your Responsibilities on the Team 

  • Maintain and distribute Regional Master Schedules.
  • Assist in assigning jobs, collecting job assets, and setting due dates.
  • Keep master record of regional job costs and savings.
  • Manage all regional installation schedules with outside vendors and onsite Division contacts.
  • Distribute final model specification packages and contracts for outside firms.
  • Assist Merchandising Operations Director on special projects as necessary.
  • Assist in coordinating department and regional events (i.e. holiday parties, team meetings, etc.).
  • Assist the Merchandising Teams on furniture purchasing where needed.
  • Attend model installations when necessary.

Requirements

  • One to three year’s experience in merchandising, purchasing, operations, or related field, preferably in an interior design environment. 
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor of Arts degree preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) on Macintosh platform.
  • Moderate regional travel as needed (including overnight trips and flights)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. 
  • Strong good communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Valid motor vehicle license – unrestricted

General Overview of Compensation & Benefits:

We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an hourly rate of $23.90 - $30, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials (e.g., cost of labor/living, etc.), and operational considerations.
