ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Represent the City in criminal trials and administrative proceedings. Negotiate plea agreements with opposing counsel and pro-se defendants. Prepare cases for trial. Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, memos, and training materials.

May be asked to perform other duties such as, but not limited to, reviewing documents for legal sufficiency and appropriateness.

Qualifications

Position requires a Doctorate of Jurisprudence. Must be a licensed attorney and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas at time of application and hire.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
