ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non rotating 40 hour work week, Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Supports the Learning and Organizational Development division by preparing and disseminating program content.

Designs and creates media, prepares web page content to publicize events and maximize participation.

Assists in the oversight of workshops, conference, events and other initiatives for the Learning or Organization Development division.

Coordinates and schedules events, secures venues, negotiates vendor contracts, orders materials, coordinates volunteers, and responsible for setup/breakdown.

Facilitates training workshops and may provide training in related area.

Develops incentive budgets for recognition events and awards.

Track participation, maintains metrics, and prepares reports on services provided.

Requires excellent project management skills and the ability to work in a project team in a collaborative manner with others;

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously; duties of this position may necessitate traveling to sites within the City.

May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Position requires an Associate's Degree in Communications or related field with two (2) years of related professional work experience; Bachelor degree preferred. Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HTML, and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience creating and administering web applications, excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer service focus and commitment to service. Experience in Educational Technology, and/or Human-Computer Interaction, Multimedia production and design skills, and digital content management knowledge highly desirable. A combination of education and related experience may be considered. Must have a valid driver's license. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
