Summer Camp Nurse

Summer Camp Nurse will evaluate and treat campers and staff for minor injuries and illnesses, supervise and ensure implementation of medication policies and procedures at camp, keep a log of Health Center visits, give supportive advice to counselors, parents and other camp staff if requested, and identify health problems serious enough to require a physician's attention.
Essential Job Functions:
* Supervise daily health screening of all campers and staff
* Distribute and record camper medications.
* Maintain Health Center record and medical forms.
* Communicate specific camper health needs (allergies, special diets) to staff
* Be present prior to the start of program to organize incoming health forms, record the individual problems, and note medications
* Other duties assigned as required
Summer Camp runs from June 24 - August 18, 8:30am - 4:00pm and you will be expected to attend Mandatory orientation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Nursing degree (licensed in the State of New Jersey) or EMT/Medic Certification
* Flexible - able to adapt to different environments and schedules
* Good bedside manner, friendly and personable with children, parents and families
* Prior experience with children (does not have to be in a medical capacity)
Required paperwork: W4 & I9, Photo ID, Copy of Social Security Card, Medical Form, Working Papers if under 18, and background authorization if 18 and over.
Salary based upon experience of applicant. Range is $3,500-$4,000 for the Summer.

Camp By The Sea days are filled with fun, age-appropriate activities, trips, and exciting programs for children ages 2-16 all under the supervision of experienced teachers and counselors. At camp we create an atmosphere where children from all backgrounds can explore and challenge themselves while learning with one another. Our campers are encouraged to try new activities and make new friends, all while learning life skills, confidence, and self-esteem.
Camp by the Sea is located in the Milton & Betty Katz JCC.We are a non-profit.
