PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

The Housekeeping Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the camp facilities and surrounding areas. This position is essential for upholding a consistent standard of hygiene, orderliness, and sanitation throughout the premises.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain an accurate inventory of cleaning supplies and request additional items as necessary.
  2. Conduct regular inspections to ensure that the housekeeping team meets the cleanliness standards of the camp.
  3. Coordinate with linen services to guarantee that all linens are prepared for incoming groups.
  4. Prepare guest accommodations for staff or visitors, which includes:
    1. Washing and organizing linens.
    2. Making beds and arranging towels.
    3. Cleaning restrooms thoroughly.
    4. Dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming common areas including kitchens, living rooms, and bedrooms.
    5. Cleaning and maintaining the front entry area.
    6. Emptying waste receptacles both indoors and outdoors.
  5. Check in with guests each morning post-breakfast to address any needs such as trash removal, bathroom cleaning, or replenishing supplies.
  6. Ensure that outdoor waste bins are emptied daily.
  7. After guests depart, prepare the facilities for future use by conducting thorough cleanings.
  8. Keep the laundry area organized and tidy.
  9. Report any misuse of laundry facilities to the Camp Director.
  10. Dispose of garbage properly in designated bins.
  11. Maintain cleanliness in mop, trash, and laundry areas.
  12. Assist in the overall clean-up of the camp at the end of each session and at the conclusion of the summer.
  13. Support the Camp Director with additional tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

To excel in this role, candidates must be capable of performing essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
  1. Ability to engage in various physical activities including sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting.
  2. Capability to grasp, push, and pull objects and tools effectively.
  3. Ability to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
