The Human Resources Assistant will perform human resources-related administrative work both under general supervision and independently. Primary Duties and Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: * Supporting human resources (HR) functions such as: recruitment, classification review, compensation studies, employment analysis, and leave and benefits administration. * Collecting and analyzing data. * Tracking trends and developments in assigned functional areas. * Conducting studies, perform research, and prepare reports. * Reviewing, interpreting, and recommending policies. * Participating in working groups, councils, and committees. * Ensuring compliance with DOE HR-related rules and regulations. Skills & Requirements Required Experience & Skills * Bachelor's degree from in an accredited university and 8 years of experience OR high school diploma and 12 years of experience * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite 2010 or better * Professional attitude * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Ability to competently deal with rapidly changing priorities and requirements * Ability to perform sensitive tasks that require discretion and tact Required Education * Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree from in an accredited university and 8 years of experience OR high school diploma and 12 years of experience Preferred Education * Bachelor's degree Qualifications *Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government.
