We are seeking candidates for the position of A/P Vendor Specialist (5168) in the Finance/Accounting.

Salary Range: Min: $70,668.00 - Mid: $88,348.00 - Max: $106,028.00

OVERALL DESCRIPTION

The Accounts Payable Vendor Specialist manages the vendor add and change process, including determining the vendor tax classification and the income code assignment. The AP Vendor Specialist will manage all vendors maintenance and work closely with the AP team and Procurement to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the master vendor records. The AP Vendor Specialist will also assist with 1099 reporting and respond to vendor and Procurement inquires.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages all vendor maintenance which includes new vendor additions, existing vendor changes and updates to the vendor record. Maintains and validates the vendor tax classification, the income code assignment and accuracy of banking information. Performs vendor validation for all new vendor requests through the Supplier Vendors Compare Weekly process. Works with Procurement, end user departments, and vendors to ensure data integrity in the Supplier Portal, including ACH set-up and changes. Builds INFOR List View reports and queries to analyze vendor master data, to avoid duplication, vendor merger changes and incorrect or missing data elements. Manages W-9 compliance with the IRS and assists in the Document Management process (scanning, validation, verification). Assists in the yearly 1099 filing to the Internal Revenue Services and quarterly reviews. Serves as back-up to the Manager, Accounts Payable role. Performs special assignments for immediate manager as requested. Reports performance to the immediate manager. Complies with all Authority and departmental safety and security policies and procedures as well as all applicable job safety responsibilities. Reports any safety concerns, compromises or hazards affecting operations, the public self and/or other employees. Responsible for personal safety and is encouraged to promote the safety of others.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree from a recognized College or University plus three (3) years of relevant experience required, with a focus in Business, Communications, Planning, Accounting, Finance or Human Resources, preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience; (two (2) years of experience equating to one (1) year of post high school education), may be considered in lieu of the above requirement.
  • Excellent computer skills required, including MS Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, TEAMS, and Sharepoint.
  • Excellent communication skills required, including written, verbal and presentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and collaboration skills required.
  • Excellent project management skills required.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and ability to thrive with competing priorities required.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Previous Accounts Payable experience preferred.
  • Previous cloud-based ERP system experience preferred.
