Job DescriptionThe School of Social Work at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is recruiting for a Child Welfare Senior Trainer Coordinator for the Nevada Partnership Training Program (NPT).The Senior Training Coordinator provides delivery and development recommendations of competency-based, in-service training to social workers, public child welfare professionals, human services professionals, and community stakeholders throughout Nevada. Additionally, will work to maintain and foster new relationships with external stakeholders in the state of Nevada.The Senior Training Coordinator is responsible for supervising and developing identified trainers in NPT. The Senior Training Coordinator is further responsible for general management of their identified project area. This position is critical to the ongoing growth of NPT and maintaining a partnership with the NPT Director.Job Duties:Train new and experienced social workers, public child welfare professionals, human services professionals and community stakeholders throughout the State on project area policy and practice topics through classroom training.Participate in the planning of new curricula development and existing curricula revision.Participate in relevant team meetings.Coordinate with Instructional Technologist and Curriculum Developer to suggest curriculum revisions as identified and in planning for new curricula.Coordinate with evaluator for continuous quality improvement of curriculum and training.Participate in supervision; receive feedback and participate in continuous quality improvement.Serves as the primary liaison with project area committees and workgroups.Coordinates the involvement of external stakeholders and content experts in project area training activities.Provides project area related community presentations and workshops.Participates in the development of evaluation and reporting of project area.Provides ongoing supervision to identified team membersTrains and provides ongoing support for professional development including the development of annual professional development plansAnd other duties as assigned by the NPT Director.Required QualificationsA master's degree and two years of related work experience. Related experience: two years of social work practice; working with children and families in a child welfare setting; development, implementation, revision and/or evaluation of performance-based training curricula or related fieldCertification and LicensureLicensed as a social worker in the state of Nevada, i.e., Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or ability to obtain licensure within one year of appointment; failure to do so will result in termination of employmentValid Driver's LicenseSchedule or Travel RequirementsOccasional variable work schedule (to include some nights and weekends)Occasional travel (local and regional)Compensation GradeAdministrative Faculty - CTo view the salary schedule for this position, please visit: Salary Schedules and select Administrative Faculty by Grade.
