Raytheon’s Signal Processing team is seeking a Section Leader to support our Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) and Advanced Technologies (AT) Department. This department solves complex Radar Signal Processing problems to support, drive, and enable key business captures, current programs, special projects, and wide-ranging business opportunities. As a Section Lead, you will provide direct supervision to a team of engineers, guiding them towards achieving departmental goals. This position is in Tucson, Arizona.
What You Will Do
- You will act as a key manager and mentor for 10 - 15 engineers.
- You will influence, foster teamwork, and enable interdependent execution.
- You will participate in talent acquisition, goal setting, performance development, and appraisal of assigned employees.
- You will ensure each direct report has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and career advancement.
- You will support the team as an individual contributor, enhancing your technical skills.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of Radar Signal Processing experience.
- Minimum of 4 years signal processing experience on missile system applications supporting customer programs.
- Leadership experience in technical and/or functional capacity.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- An advanced degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related discipline.
- Experience with hardware/software integration.
- Experience and knowledge of the ASDS and AT portfolios.
- Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM).
- Experience developing and mentoring new employees.
- Communicating with different levels of employees, departments, and customers.
