Job Summary:

The Mission Analysis Section Manager will lead a team of engineers in the development and integration of variable-fidelity computer models and simulations that effectively capture system and system of systems effects in complex threat environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 8-15 engineers in the development and integration of variable-fidelity computer models and simulations.
  • Work with the team to generate virtual and/or analytical solutions to identify technology gaps, demonstrate the operational benefits of new mission concepts, develop requirements, test systems, and train operators.
  • Use a holistic mindset coupled with engineering skills to develop and visualize solutions in support of one or more OAMS projects.
  • Be accountable for the execution of work and delivery of products from the section.
  • Perform direct line management activities for the team, including performance development and appraisal, career development, staffing allocation, and ensuring the team has the resources needed to perform their work.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and business alignment.
  • Flow communications between the section and Raytheon management, providing status and reports up to Raytheon management.
  • Evaluate end-to-end system needs to discover system interfaces and data connectivity requirements across the kill-chain.
  • Work on the modeling of system and mission kill chains with tools such as Government, Commercial, and Raytheon simulations.
  • Lead the development of metrics and results products that communicate the chain of events that led to an action.
  • Lead the implementation of algorithms to provide next-generation performance across the entire system of systems.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with CONOPS, Campaign Modeling, Battle Space Command & Control, Threat Assessment & Modeling.
  • Experience with Numerical Optimization Techniques, Analysis of Alternatives, or Design of Experiments.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB, Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
  • Team leadership skills.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Raytheon-owned Modeling and Simulation tools or Government/Industry Modeling and Simulation tools.
  • Experience with modeling and simulation of sensing systems and effectors.
  • Design of Experiment, Statistical analysis, Data Analytics.
  • An active DoD Top Secret clearance.
