The MY HERO Project is a not-for-profit organization based in Santa Monica, CA, with a focus on using media and technology to celebrate positive human stories and empower youth to make a difference. Through our multimedia journal and digital library, we share stories, art, and short films that inspire change and promote understanding. Our educational programs are used in schools, libraries, workshops, and community centers globally.
Role Description
This is a contract hybrid role for a Media Arts Education and MY HERO Film Festival Director. The Director will be responsible for planning and executing media arts education programs, facilitating communication with participants and partners, overseeing marketing efforts, exploring new media opportunities, and conducting research. This role is based in Santa Monica, CA, with flexibility for remote work.
Qualifications
- Media Planning and Marketing skills
- Strong Communication skills
- Experience in New Media
- Fundraising and Grant Writing Assistance
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Knowledge of film production and education
- Experience working with youth or educational programs
- Background in media arts, film, or related field
