The part-time Art Instructor for Elementary Education is a creative, enthusiastic, and experienced professional with a background in teaching art to young learners (grades K-5). This role involves conducting seven (7) art classes weekly, with a consistent schedule determined in advance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging art curriculum.
- Contribute to the growth and evaluation of the Visual Arts Program.
- Foster a stimulating classroom atmosphere that values self-expression, creativity, and respect for artistic materials.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance educational outcomes.
- Engage in the assessment of student progress and learning.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Encourage a respectful environment where students feel comfortable sharing ideas and making mistakes.
- Maintain comprehensive portfolios showcasing student development throughout the academic year.
- Attend departmental, school, and parent meetings.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Art is mandatory.
- A minimum of two years of experience in elementary education.
- Proficiency in drawing and various media, along with knowledge of diverse techniques and tools.
- A dynamic personality with a passion for teaching and effective classroom management skills.
- Alignment with the school's mission and educational goals.
- Ability to motivate and engage students from diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Salary range: $25,000 - $28,000
