Responsibilities:


As an electrical development engineer on the Briotech Global Engineering team, you will work within a close-knit international team to demonstrate extreme ownership through detailed and thorough design, hardware installation, validation, testing, and support.

We share project management ownership on all projects. You will own projects and tasks from requirements generation through planning, implementation of project management plans, and guiding your hardware through all aspects of its life cycle
Electrical architecture and design, product requirements, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, and documentation
Circuit, control system, and full product development, debugging, troubleshooting; and confidence, acceptance and qualification testing
Integration, full system integrated testing, operations support, and data review
Multidisciplinary coordination with software, firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, and production teams in the US and Finland to deliver a fully functional product
Whole-System engineering efforts to ensure designs integrate with global IOT monitoring and operating systems, meet all intents and do not adversely impact other groups or designs
Drive improvements in reliability and capabilities while minimizing cost and schedule
Automate manual processes using advanced control systems and machine learning
Use advanced knowledge of mathematics and control algorithms to increase the capability of our WHISH systems, production bottling systems, and the quality of the BrioHOCl products
Implement human-machine interfaces that are intuitive, secure, and reliable
Oversee and validate work performed by contract developers
Implement remote operation, logging, and licensing systems
Provide technical support to our partners world-wide
Travel (0-20%) internationally to visit partner facilities for product improvement programs

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or highly related discipline
Creative approach to problem solving using analytical skills and engineering fundamentals
2-5 years' experience in product development or 5-10 years' applicable experience in lieu of degree
Operative experience in Python, C#, HTML5/CSS; MySQL, MongoDB or other databases
Development of Linux-based machine control systems, familiarization with legacy ladder logic
Experience developing, debugging, and deploying systems used in real world applications
Excellent communications and documentation skills, both written and oral
Experience with microcontrollers for robotics, motions systems, or production equipment
