About the Family: A vibrant and fast-paced family of two, seeking a culinary artist who can bring creativity and excitement to every meal. The family values flexibility and spontaneity, often deciding meals last minute. They appreciate simple dishes with a twist, as well as themed culinary experiences that create magical moments. The family enjoys entertaining and does so 2-4 times a week ranging from an intimate dinner of 10 guests to a grand event for 200 guests. The family does travel often and the chef will be asked to go with on some of the trips. The summers are spent in Idaho on a lake with a beautiful Mountain View, on the slopes of Aspen in the winter and surfing the waves in Hawaii in the summers.

The chef whom will thrive in this role, is one who likes to be tested and challenged. A nutritional journey is currently underway as their diet, having an understanding of recording meals and ingredients into fitness pal, weighing food and countering grams of protein, sugar and overall macros.


Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the family of 2, plus staff and guests.

• Plan and execute themed meals such as Taco Tuesday, Italian Wednesday, and other creative dining experiences.

• Incorporate creativity and aesthetics into meal preparation to make even simple dishes exciting.

• Collaborate with the family to accommodate last-minute meal changes and requests.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen.

• Ensure dietary restrictions and preferences are met. Being able to pivot when dietary needs of the families change.

• Source and purchase high-quality ingredients, focusing on freshness and seasonality.

• Plan and prepare meals for special occasions, holidays, and weekends.

• Be available to travel with the family as needed, including weekends and holidays.


Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a private chef or in a similar culinary role.

• Exceptional culinary skills, with a strong portfolio showcasing creativity and aesthetic presentation.

• Ability to create diverse and themed meal plans that cater to the family’s tastes and preferences.

• Flexibility to adapt to last-minute changes and a dynamic schedule.

• Strong understanding of dietary restrictions and nutritional requirements.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.

• Willingness to travel with the family and work weekends and holidays as required. The schedule is working when family is in residence and days off will be when family is out of residence.
