We are one of the fastest growing provider of data analytics analytics software as a service (SAAS) platform to oil and gas operators worldwide. We are currently seeking US Region Sales Executive within Oil and Gas Industry with experience in selling SaaS solution to prospective clients.


Position: Sales Executive with significant O&G experience


Position is 100% remote in US with occasional travel required to client sites / trade shows / public relation events etc. Role is open to US Citizens / Permanent Residents only.


Role:


The person will be responsible for developing leads and closing new business focused on the Drilling & Completion US land market. The successful candidate must have proven sales track record selling ‘Data Services” Play such as Rystad, IHS energy, Enverus and others. The candidate will be accountable to directly identify and initiate business development efforts in the Region focused on new emerging software solutions and expanding market share with Oil and Gas companies operating on land and identifying new opportunities to achieve profitable revenue growth of company emerging products and services. The individual must demonstrate a proven track record in consultative solution selling software or related services to oil and gas operators. 


Responsibilities: 


Customer Engagement: 

  • Proactively develop a solid, comprehensive understanding of customer's business needs, priorities, strategies, and industry insights. Anticipate customer's needs to deliver new insights on their business strategy and educate customers on ways to address them jointly. Show long-term differentiated value for the customer, leveraging industry expertise and guides internal colleagues on ways to develop deeper customer knowledge. Deliver solutions into overall long-term business strategy.
  • Elevate relationships through multiple levels of the customer's organization to secure alignment and execution. Expand strategic customer relationships to drive larger impact for the customer and spread into other areas of the organization.

Account Management:

  • Orchestrate the execution of strategies for the assigned account to ensure engagements yield high-volume sales, drive plans to increase revenue potential, and open new opportunities for AKM Enterprises, aligned to goals, budgets, and forecasts. Leads and coordinates with Product Team on plan execution (e.g., prioritization, delegation) and drives accountability to execute and deliver on account plans and grow the account, leveraging industry expertise.
  • Lead efforts with key internal and external partners and business and technical decision makers in developing, sharing, and promoting mutually beneficial, long-term, tailored account plans to grow sales and partner impact, leveraging deep executive relationships, influence, and industry expertise. Collaborates across organization and partners in discussions to create mutual wins.
  • Proactively solicit feedback on additional needs, products, and features to develop targeted strategies for customers. Demonstrate a solid understanding of the customer's business model to articulate growth opportunities, leveraging industry expertise to shape ecosystem. Influences relevant (internal and external) stakeholders and resources to drive change on behalf of the customer and to enhance team capabilities, improve AKM Enterprise offerings, and adapt AKM Enterprise messaging to the assigned accounts.

Strategic Process:

  • Leverage close relationships with leaders (e.g., senior leaders, C-level executives) of the assigned accounts and the broader ecosystem to shape long-term strategic direction and influence business metrics. Connect appropriate internal executives and partners to build strategic relationships, leveraging knowledge of customer business.
  • Engage in strategic discussions by articulating ideas to evolve and facilitate evolution of customer business model, using AKM Products and Solution to solve customer's complex business problems. Drive strategic initiatives to promote a more holistic digital approach between AKM Enterprises Product / Solutions and the customer.
  • Leverage unique, strategic, industry-focused business insights and opportunities to create long-term, competitive advantage for the customer.

Sales Excellence: 

·       Orchestrate high-impact solutions that enable energy or sustainability transformation for assigned accounts and drive outcomes that create business value for customers.

  • Use business cases to develop and present compelling value proposition presentations and specialized business plans for customers that showcase AKM Enterprises products and solutions to connect decision makers in the account to the broader usage of AKM SaaS platform. Also provide thought leadership to guide others on tailoring presentations and generate new opportunities.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree required. Degree in Oil and Gas technical related field preferred. MBA is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience with a proven track record selling “Data Services Play” to oil and gas operators in the Region required.
  • 7+ years of selling data analytics / SaaS services to Executive Management required.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Product Team required.
  • Existing strong relationships with senior executives and key decision makers such as CEO, COO, VPs required.
  • Maintaining CRM data and reporting to CEO required. 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive net new business growth and meet/exceed sales targets consistently to existing players in Oil and Gas sector.
  • Lead the sales efforts to expand market share within oil and gas operators in region area for new products and services.
  • Ability to lead negotiations, handle objections, and craft compelling proposals that align with the customer's requirements and budget. Ensure the timely closure of deals while maintaining a win-win approach.
  • Motivated to advance growth in an entrepreneurial, rapidly growing company environment.
  • Help identify and build the brand to ensure AKM is seen as an industry leader in software products.
  • Work closely with Product Team to ensure alignment between Sales Strategy and Product Roadmap.
  • Attend and participate in weekly Sales meetings.
  • Maintain /Track sales progress and develop weekly reports on sales progress.
  • Attend affiliation, tradeshow and public relations events as requested to generate leads and network.
  • Cold calls prospective clients as required.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
