QC Technician

Polycoat Products is currently seeking a QC Technician to join our team in Arlington, TX. This role will collaborate closely with R&D chemists and engineers within the Polyurethane Technology R&D and QC team in Arlington.


Responsibilities

·       Operate independently in our laboratory to support the R&D and QC operations in our spray polyurethane foam R&D facility. Conduct hand-mix testing, support scale-up activities, analytical testing, and application screening.

·       Conduct testing according to established procedures on production batches, incoming materials, and R&D material.

·       Keep record of all test results, release or hold batches in cooperation with QC team.

·       Calibrate equipment weekly or as needed.

·       Prepare, maintain, and clean hand-mix spray lab and equipment for QC and R&D testing.

·       Assist the R&D chemist(s) in organizing and maintaining records.

·       Assist R&D with spraying or lab testing as needed.

·       Should be able to work occasionally during second shifts.


Minimum Qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a relevant field of study.

·       Preference to at least 2 years of proven experience performing routine tasks in specific testing and sample preparation areas.

·       Fundamental understanding and expertise in chemical laboratory practices and safety.

·       Strong analytical and mechanical skills, with a focus on precision and accurate record-keeping.

·       Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects.

·       Experience with polyurethane foam is not mandatory but a plus.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
