Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Control Systems Specialist to lead our team in maintaining and troubleshooting industrial control systems at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. As a Technical Lead, you will provide guidance to other technicians and perform full journey level work in ensuring the efficient operation of our control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Industrial Control Technicians in the inspection, maintenance, and repair of electric, distributed control systems, and pneumatic and electronic direct digital control systems.
  • Monitor the operational performance of the BAS (APOGEE) and Foxboro system, making routine and non-routine adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with design and construction groups to integrate new systems with existing systems.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide input for yearly performance management evaluations.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in technology related to building automation systems and their controls.
Requirements
  • 6 years of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial control systems.
  • Knowledge of automated, computer-based instrumentation and distributed control systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot malfunctions, make repairs, and maintain system operations.
  • Knowledge of electric, electronic, and pneumatic controls systems and their interaction/interface.
  • Ability to lead projects or work groups and work safely.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as a Master Electronics Technician from Electronics Technician Association.
  • Certification as a Journeyman Electronics Technician.
  • Licensed as a Master HVAC Mechanic from the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation Board of Contractors.
