As they continue growing, they are looking for a Business Development Specialist for their Intellectual Property Practice Group to drive and execute strategic business development and marketing initiatives across multiple markets. This role involves collaborating with partners and internal teams to support growth efforts, including strategic planning, content creation, and client development, ensuring the achievement of business goals.

  • Contribute to strategic business development and marketing plans by setting goals, action items, and deadlines.
  • Develop strong knowledge of the practice’s market position, key strengths, and client base.
  • Draft and prepare proposals, pitches, and communications for clients and related organizations.
  • Help draft, edit, and track legal directory and awards submissions.
  • Drive content-driven campaigns and collaborate on cross-selling initiatives to generate new business.
  • Support key client efforts and plan targeted marketing activities, including seminars and events.
  • Assist with budget management, PR, communications, digital marketing, and additional projects.


What YOU need to do the JOB:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, law, or business.
  • 4+ years of experience in business development or marketing at a law firm or professional services firm.
  • Experience with Intellectual Property Practice Groups (preferred).
  • Knowledge of trends, technologies, and literature in legal and professional services marketing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, document management systems, and CRM systems.
  • Strong online research skills and ability to analyze market trends for business growth.
  • Excellent communication skills, with attention to detail and proofreading.
  • Knowledge of law firm operations, legal concepts, and proficiency in team management and leadership.
