Job Description
Our client, a prominent player in the education sector, is seeking a seasoned professional with extensive sales and strategic development expertise for the Director of Business Development role. The ideal candidate will have a strong revenue generation background and outstanding interpersonal abilities. This role will involve managing and executing go-to-market strategies and being responsible for hitting revenue targets. The chosen candidate will leverage their experience in sales leadership, operations, and strategic execution to craft and implement a robust revenue model, driving business growth. They will work closely with senior leaders to enhance sales, expand product lines, and increase market share.
This role is instrumental in supporting a mission to broaden access to high-quality education worldwide. The Director will be crucial in expanding and developing established and new educational products. By understanding the organization’s offerings, the individual will be responsible for developing customer-centric strategies, driving business expansion, and building strong partnerships with current and prospective stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work with the executive team to develop and refine market-specific sales strategies.
• Identify target markets for educational products and services and align them with strategic
goals.
• Evaluate potential revenue opportunities and establish sales quotas and processes for the
team.
• Utilize and strengthen the existing network to build a solid customer base.
• Collaborate with senior management to generate ideas and solutions for key markets,
industries, and geographic regions.
• Design and implement strategic initiatives to boost revenue and expand market reach.
• Drive successful international go-to-market strategies for various product portfolios.
Skills and Competencies:
• 8-10+ years of experience in sales, with a proven history of exceeding growth targets.
• Strong ability to build productive and positive relationships with both internal teams and
external partners, complemented by excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in the education sector or with sales of educational products/services is
advantageous.
• Strong leadership skills and a talent for negotiating and closing deals with accuracy and
efficiency.
