Position Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Marketing Proposal Specialist to join our dynamic business development team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategic, compelling, and innovative marketing proposals in response to RFPs. You will work closely with our creative and business development teams to highlight our strengths in delivering impactful public awareness campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a background in marketing or social media, with experience in analyzing digital trends and campaign performance. If you have a passion for storytelling, an understanding of digital marketing strategies, and the ability to craft winning proposals that showcase our expertise, we want to hear from you.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and write persuasive proposals in response to RFPs, focusing on public awareness campaigns in mental health, behavioral health, and public health sectors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, creative directors, and health specialists, to align proposal content with campaign strategies.
  • Craft content that emphasizes community engagement, health improvement, and harm reduction strategies within public awareness campaigns.
  • Translate marketing objectives and digital media analytics into proposals that showcase successful health campaigns and innovative approaches.
  • Conduct thorough research on public health trends, community needs, and health equity issues to inform targeted proposals.
  • Customize case studies, past performance examples, and campaign metrics to demonstrate success in public health marketing and outreach.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends in digital marketing, social media, and community health, and integrate these insights into proposal development.
  • Edit and proofread proposals to ensure they adhere to brand guidelines and meet compliance requirements.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Initium Health’s services, competitive advantages, and the public health landscape to enhance proposal quality.
  • Manage multiple proposal projects simultaneously, while maintaining timely and high-quality submissions that adhere to RFP deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in writing proposals for public awareness and community engagement campaigns, with a focus on harm reduction and health equity.
  • Experience in digital marketing, social media platforms, and analytics, particularly as they relate to health campaigns.
  • Excellent research, writing, and editing skills, with the ability to convey complex health concepts in a compelling and clear manner.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including marketing, creative, and health professionals.
  • Familiarity with community engagement strategies and health outreach methodologies.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Health, Journalism, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in writing for marketing and communications, preferably with a focus on public health, mental health, or behavioral health campaigns, or community engagement initiatives.
