As the Regulatory & Compliance Manager you will be responsible for providing expert oversight, coordination, and implementation of procedures and practices related to FERC regulatory compliance obligations for hydropower and renewable projects. This pivotal role involves collaborating closely with the asset management, operations, and investment teams, ensuring regulatory due diligence for both development and operating assets, and providing essential regulatory oversight throughout the project lifecycle.


Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Support and lead efforts for FERC licensing and relicensing. Ensure the company's hydropower and renewable projects adhere to all FERC regulatory requirements. Oversee the development and implementation of compliance procedures, ensuring the organization operates within legal frameworks.
  • Compliance Rate: Ensure 100% compliance with FERC regulations for all projects.
  • Due Diligence: Collaborate with asset management, operations, and investment teams on regulatory due diligence processes for the acquisition of development and operating assets. Conduct thorough reviews to identify regulatory risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Maintain satisfaction among regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Prior hands-on experience with FERC licensing/relicensing/regulations and compliance requirements
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in regulatory compliance associated with state agencies
