A nation-wide engineering consulting firm is looking to bring on a Power System Studies Engineer to join the team This position will support the Power Systems group, working with industrial and utility clients on electrical power system studies and analysis. This position is based out of the firm's Cleveland, OH, or Chicago, IL offices.


The Power System Studies Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Performing electrical power system studies and analysis (short circuit, relay coordination, load flow, harmonics, arc flash, etc.)
  • Using industry standard analysis software to perform studies (ETAP, SKM, etc.)
  • Create study cases, analyze results, and provide detailed written reports
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members


The Power System Studies Engineer should have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 2-6+ years of relevant experience in Power System Studies or Transmission Planning/Interconnection
  • Expertise in SKM, ETAP, or similar software
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
