What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Oversee software design, development, and maintenance for the FLEX rover’s navigation, control systems, and mission planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, avionics, and systems engineers, to ensure seamless integration of software solutions.
  • Develop and implement software development best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing protocols.
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to ensure on-time and high-quality software releases.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of software development processes and tools.
  • Support mission operations by overseeing the development of tools and scripts for data analysis and mission simulation.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in software engineering, robotics, and space exploration to guide the team in adopting new technologies.



What’s Prepared You:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in software development and engineering management, with a strong technical background.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing engineers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for space exploration and a commitment to advancing the frontiers of technology.
