Software DevOps Engineer
(Location: Hawthorne-El Segundo area, south-east of Los Angeles, CA)

The manager is looking for someone who has worked as a Software DevOps Engineer for the last several years. Prefers 8-10+ years of experience. This is not a software coding position, it's more about the software deployment and builds (build management).

The candidate needs to have experience with software deployment and build management, which are typical tasks for a DevOps Engineer. The candidate also needs experience with Board Bring-up (or board build-up), and understands YOCTO Linux.

The Deployment and Build Management tasks include:
DevOps software deployment and build management includes tools and practices that help developers provision, deploy, and manage software releases, and configure and run software builds; to increase the efficiency, speed, and security of software development and delivery.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The DevOps engineer should have a wide-ranging knowledge of both development and operations, including coding, infrastructure management, system administration, and DevOps toolchains. The DevOps engineer should also possess interpersonal skills since they work across company silos to create a more collaborative environment. DevOps systems development. Understands YOCTO Linux. Application performance tuning, debugging, testing and supporting software releases




Education / Experience: MS or BS in Computer Science or related engineering field 8-10+ years of relevant experience.



Language Skills: Interpersonal skills to effectively work with people internally as well as working effectively with suppliers and customers Ability to effectively present information in team meetings and design reviews, as needed Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Must have substantial problem-solving abilities.





Additional Requirements: US Citizenship or lawful permanent residence ("Green Card" holders) in the U.S. required.
