SUMMARY
Performs administrative duties for the Human Resources Department. This position reports to the HR Director.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- All clerical functions for the department
- Assist with applicant tracking calls
- Administrative support for HR Director
- Answer employee general questions
- Assist with communication updates to employees
- Responsible for all payables including purchase orders
- Assists with records management maintenance
- Assists department with events, activities and orientation
- Maintains logs, records and databases
- Responsible for updates/changes to HR website page
- Assist with compliance audits
- Assist with employment verification and public record requests
- Take meeting minutes and recap emails
- Create and maintain an administrative filing and electronic record keeping systems in accordance with Village Policies, HR Policies and government regulations.
- Manage all paperwork incoming and outgoing for HR department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School graduate or GED and three (3) years of professional experience in an administrative role. Associate degree from an accredited college or university preferred or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Possession of a valid Florida Driver License.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Possess strong customer services skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse constituents and staff at all levels both orally and in written form.
- Experience creating reports and analyzing data.
- Experience with basic budget management and basic fiscal operations.
- Advance experience with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and tact.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, officials, administrators, and the public.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a positive team environment.
- Ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities in managing a wide range of projects.

PROBATION:
All positions serve a (6) six month probationary period
PENSION PLAN: FRS (Florida Retirement System)
- Mandatory 3% employee contribution of your gross salary
- Fully vested after eight (8) years
We have 14 paid holidays per year. Police Holiday is paid or comp'd at ten (10) hours for holiday except birthday which is at 8 hours. Birthday is an additional paid holiday but must be requested approved by supervisor, and taken in the same week as the birthday occurs.
PERSONAL LEAVE TIME:
Accrues weekly from hire date at the rate depending on length of time in service. PLT may be used, paid, after six (6) months.
