We are seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst with expertise in the retail industry, specifically in payment processing and fraud prevention. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in analyzing and improving our systems related to payment transactions and fraud detection to ensure seamless operations and security across all channels.
Length: 6 months (high likelihood of extension)
Associate Vendors: We are accepting applications from candidates who are currently authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.
Role & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, finance, and operations to gather and analyze requirements related to payment processing systems and fraud prevention tools.
- Conduct detailed business analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and enhanced security measures.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to business processes, system requirements, and integration points for payment systems.
- Partner with external payment service providers and vendors to implement new payment solutions and enhancements.
- Lead testing and validation efforts for payment system upgrades and enhancements to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Monitor and analyze payment transaction data to detect and prevent fraudulent activities in real-time.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for payment-related issues.
- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices related to payment processing and fraud prevention.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience (3 years) as a Business Systems Analyst in the retail industry, with a focus on payment processing and fraud prevention.
- Strong understanding of payment processing protocols, including EMV, PCI-DSS compliance, and tokenization.
- Experience with fraud detection tools and techniques, including machine learning-based approaches.
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or Information Technology.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or Project Management (e.g., PMP).
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
