Safety Administrator

- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provide safety training and education to employees, including new hire orientation, toolbox talks, and specialized training as needed.
- Maintain safety records and documentation, including incident reports, training records, and safety data sheets (SDS).
- Collaborate with management and employees to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend measures to minimize occupational health and safety risks.
- Monitor and track safety performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives.
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and participate in inspections and audits as required.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to occupational health and safety.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or a related field.
- Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Occupational Health and Safety Technician) preferred.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., OSHA, ANSI, NFPA).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify hazards and assess risks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and safety management software.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to multiple work sites as needed.
