Fire Safety Compliance Inspector

Position Title: Fire Protection Inspector - Pump Operations
The primary responsibility of this position is to conduct NFPA-compliant inspections of water-based fire protection systems, fire alarm systems, and fire extinguishers. Our goal is to enhance inspection revenues while ensuring profitability, meeting customer expectations, and adhering to NFPA standards.
This role demands a proactive approach in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment, focusing on customer engagement, high-quality performance, and a thorough understanding of NFPA regulations pertinent to each fire protection system. Travel to client locations is a requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct basic troubleshooting of wet fire protection systems and communicate findings to clients and service managers for necessary repairs.
- Perform NFPA 25 weekly and monthly fire pump operations.
- Oversee and ensure the timely completion of all assigned tasks.
- Accurately complete and submit work tickets and inspection reports to administrative staff.
- Manage self-scheduling for daily inspections.
- Promote company services to both new and existing clients.
- Execute inspections from elevated platforms, reaching heights of 30 to 40 feet as required.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are necessary:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Vocational or industry trade school education is advantageous.
- Basic mechanical skills, including troubleshooting capabilities for mechanical and electrical issues.
- Proficiency in working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, or lifts.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain necessary certifications, including NICET.
- Capability to lift at least 35 pounds.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
