At the intersection of art and fashion, Eittem is a forthcoming, luxury brand producing sculptural wooden clutches at our studio in Chelsea, NYC. The designs are based on archetypes from nature and are CNC machined out of reclaimed wood — blending cutting-edge technology with a handcrafted touch.


We are currently seeking a Communications and Engagement Manager to work closely with our Founder/Creative Director and our Head of Operations to bring our brand into the world. The ideal candidate will have a background in art history or luxury fashion. This role provides an exceptional growth opportunity to be an early employee at well-funded startup with an innovative product unique to the global luxury space. As a small team, we are dedicated to building a creative, talented, and integrated group who will inspire each other every day.


Job Responsibilities


Creative Content

  • Create digital content for social media and newsletters consistent with brand values
  • Research and produce insightful written content for website journal on art, design, and new materials
  • Develop and maintain organizational system for digital assets


Client Relations + Brand Engagement

  • Welcome, host, and build relationships with clients at our appointment-only studio in Chelsea
  • Organize and execute brand activations such as internal and off-site events
  • Manage and monitor brand social media accounts
  • Interface with editors and press in a professional manner


Qualifications


Required skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in art history, journalism, or related field
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Creative eye and strong interest in art, design, culture, and fashion
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills with an ability to balance multiple, concurrent projects
  • Flexible team player with an eagerness to learn and adapt to challenges in a start-up environment 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and proprietary information


Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Work experience in luxury fashion, gallery space, or design publication
  • Experience with CRM systems and Hootsuite, MailChimp, or comparable platform
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Lightroom
  • Excellence in content creation, photography and graphic design
  • Personal art practice in any medium


Start date: July 2024 (flexible)

Benefits: Health, dental, and vision (company paid), gym membership 

Salary: $70-$80k (commensurate with experience)

Location: On-site in Chelsea NYC
