Our client is a leading law firm specialized in the financial sector. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Proposal Specialist to join their Marketing Department on a temporary basis. This role is critical in supporting our client's business development efforts, focusing on managing the proposal development process and creating marketing content that aligns with our brand strategy. The expected engagement period is 3-6 months.

Proposal Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and submission of requests for proposals (RFPs), managing the process with minimal supervision and adhering to tight deadlines
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information, ensuring that proposal content is accurate, clear and consistent
  • Ensure that all proposal content adheres to RFP questions, requirements and guidelines, effectively representing the firm's capabilities, policies and services
  • Develop and update marketing materials, including attorney biographies, practice descriptions and deal descriptions/engagement highlights, ensuring alignment with Chapman's brand, strategy and standards
  • Adapt and format content for various marketing channels, including pitches, presentations, brochures, LinkedIn profiles and other recruiting materials, following firm templates and guidelines


Proposal Specialist Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven experience in proposal writing and familiarity with proposal best practices, including the use of proposal portal tools (e.g., PERSUIT)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to generate fresh and compelling content that supports the brand
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Dependability, adaptability and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strong analytical skills, with the capacity to draw conclusions from data, perform fact-checking, assess implications and make recommendations
  • High degree of client service orientation, organizational skills and time management
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (InDesign proficiency is a plus)
  • Adherence to all firm policies and information security protocols
