About the role

Using professional communication skills, this job requires a person to accurately enter sales orders on all our product lines offered through Hydraulic Technologies and respond to customer requests within a reasonable and timely manner. Work assignments require ability to respond to a high level of telephone calls, emails and other requests while maintaining excellent rapport with our Channel Partners and customers.


About your responsibilities

  • Answering telephone calls, emails, and other requests while processing orders for our channel partners and customers.
  • Providing aftermarket support on all our product lines. Assisting in parts identification. Offering alternatives when the need arises.
  • Entering and expediting customer’s sales orders in a timely manner with the appropriate feedback to the customer. Communicating with manufacturing and shipping employees regarding the customer’s delivery requirements.
  • Completing sales credits, debits and RGA’s (Return Goods Authorization) by preparing appropriate reports and issuing authorized credit to customers.
  • Preparing quotations providing price and delivery dates. Preparing Order Changes for customer by contacting the appropriate department manufacturing manager.
  • Completing special assigned projects from department manager and providing training and assistance for other associates.
  • Conflict and Dispute Resolution with our channel partners, customers, operations and sales team.
  • Making periodic calls to existing customers to determine satisfaction with the company, products or services.

What do you need?

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Customer Service environment with a related mechanical product line; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • A High School diploma is required. Some college is preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Experience with MS Office and data programs a plus.

  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Organizational skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks.
