A national law firm is seeking a Patent Prosecution Paralegal for their Seattle office. The role supports 5 attorneys and their clients with intellectual property work.
The role offers a hybrid set up, promoting 1-2 days/week in office and the other days can be worked from home if desired.
The salary range is 70-100k DOE with additional bonus earnings. They provide medical, dental, vision and life insurance, paying the employees full monthly premiums. Dependents can be added at the employee's expense. 401k with 3% company match, 2-3 weeks PTO DOE + 7 days sick time annually and paid holidays.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare, format, proofread and revise patent applications
- File electronically with the USPTO and WIPO
- Calendaring and IP Docketing for 5 attorneys, for both U.S. and Foreign applications
- Corresponding with clients
- Some minimal administrative tasks to support event planning and office upkeep, which is done as a team
- May take on leadership tasks as the team grows, to train and manage additional support staff
Ideal candidates will possess the following experience:
- 3+ YOE as a legal assistant or paralegal with an intellectual property focus
- Experience with U.S. and Foreign Patent applications
- Prior experience filing with the USPTO and WIPO
- Knowledgeable of patent deadlines and docketing
- Team player who is excited to grow a team
