Job Description
American Buildings – Virginia Division is seeking applications for the position of District Sales Manager. This position will report directly to the Division Sales Manager. District covers North Georgia Territory.
Functional Job Summary:- Responsible for marketing American Buildings Company products in the assigned district.
- Establish annual sales plans for the assigned territory to achieve goals set with Division Sales Manager.
- Manage the development of Builders, Accounts and National Account opportunities.
- Establish geographical markets and monitor AB’s performance in identified areas. Implement effective Builder recruitment and execute cancellations of non-performing Builders.
- Establish plans with each Builder to improve market presence inclusive of AB penetration, quality of in-place products and public image.
- Tutor the distribution base on product utilization, quality, and perceived value in the marketplace.
- Promote attendance of Builders to all training opportunities, AB functions, and utilization of AB marketing programs.
- Work with the Division Sales Manager to develop personalized training for self-improvement.
- Create Best Mark opportunities to improve product quality, service functions and enhance builder relations.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of sales or sales service experience working directly with customers
- Valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance
- Ability to travel extensively within the territory including overnight travel
- Metal Building industry experience.
- Strong leadership/interpersonal skills; developing relationships based on trust and respect with a demonstrated ability to contribute effectively in a team environment across the entire organization.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Effective computer skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Technical Sales or Construction Desired
- Currently live in or be willing to relocate to the assigned territory.
