Overview: Our provider client is seeking a dedicated Medical Records Specialist for our downtown Louisville location. This role primarily involves the uploading and delivery of medical records within the Epic system. The successful candidate will ensure that medical records are accurately uploaded into patient charts and are efficiently delivered via mail.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Upload medical records into patient charts within the Epic system.
  • Deliver medical records by mailing printed records or transferring them to a CD using a .zip drive.
  • Maintain an average of 6.5 charts processed per hour.
  • Ensure all medical records are handled in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and familiarity with medical records management.
  • Experience with EMR systems; familiarity with Epic is a plus.
  • Previous experience in mailing medical records is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of medical records processes.
  • Comfortable with EMR systems and electronic data handling.
