Position Overview:

The Project Engineer for Manufacturing Components will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes for component production. This position demands a strong engineering background, exceptional project management abilities, and a collaborative mindset to ensure the successful and cost-effective delivery of high-quality components within the specified timelines.


Project Management:

  • Lead and manage multiple projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget constraints.

Engineering and Design:

  • Collaborate with design teams to define component specifications and design requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise in the design and development of manufacturing processes.
  • Assess and recommend suitable materials, equipment, and technologies for production.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for optimizing processes and enhancing efficiency.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and boost productivity.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process-related issues.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection protocols.
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to resolve any quality-related issues.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including design, production, quality, and supply chain.
  • Provide regular project updates, status reports, and address issues to stakeholders and management.
  • Offer technical support and guidance to team members and other departments as needed.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, including project plans, reports, and records.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive project status reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all project documentation is thorough and compliant with company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project engineering or a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
  • Strong project management skills with experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality standards.
