The Wholesale Operations Planner is responsible and accountable for the 6 month Spring/Summer and 6 month Fall/Winter merchandise planning and forecast by sku for all styles in the wholesale collection for Men’s, Women’s, Children’s, Accessories, & Leather Goods. In addition to planning, the Wholesale Operations Planner will manage the allocation of payroll hours for our Boutique and Outlet stores working closely with Retail Operations and the Commercial Leadership team.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Forecast seasonal buy at a style/color/size/month level prior to start of wholesale market
  • Update seasonal forecasts regularly in accordance with wholesale account projections, project launches and seasonal orders during the start of market
  • Develop merchandising sales and purchase plan by gender and category to align the budget
  • Collaborate with account executives on department store CAD reviews prior to market and seasonal forecast projections
  • Participate in department store market appointments to gain product feedback and specific needs for each department store
  • Manage all account executive forecast projections by customer, style and color. Manage all special product requests and partner with the MBP team to execute
  • Track wholesale order sell in vs. forecast to audit styles oversold by month and/or completely oversold and communicate all information to the wholesale sales team
  • Provide seasonal size scales for all styles forecasted in the season
  • Project permanent replenishment forecast and communicate to Supply Chain
  • Manage, analyze and report weekly wholesale sell in, sell through and ATS
  • Communicate best and worst sellers to management as well as key item investments
  • Coordinate recommended sku counts and class plans in advance of each market launch
  • Partner with Wholesale Operations to cancel orders due to being oversold
  • Highlight to senior management all red flags in terms of planning, forecast and any situations that arise
  • Adhere to all global schedules and deadlines
  • Lead the monthly analysis and distribution of payroll hours based on sales forecast and partner with Retail Operations and the Commercial Leadership team.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years as a Buyer/Planner. Wholesale experience preferred.
  • Strong retail math, analytical and organizational skills.
  • A team player, develop good relationships and communication with cross functional teams
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Excel, Power Point).
  • Must be advanced in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, conditional formulas, nested formulas. Must be able to compile large volumes of data with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Knowledge of wholesale software systems preferred but not a must (NuOrder, SKYPAD SalesForce).
  • Detail oriented.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
