The Sr. Manager Workplace Policy Institute will manage the activities of the Workplace Policy Institute (WPI), working closely with attorneys, marketing, knowledge management and public relations departments to expand our WPI practice. The Manager of WPI will understand the DC market, be comfortable in the trade association world, be capable of interacting positively with Capitol Hill staff and be sensitive to the many political considerations which comprise the public policy arena. The Manager will be the public face of WPI to many external and internal audiences.

This is a hybrid position resident in Washington, DC.


Pursuant to Washington, D.C. regulation, the salary range for this position is $122,500 to $137,400 contingent on relevant experience and education and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses. We offer generous compensation and benefits packages. For more information visit:



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Broaden contacts with trade associations and coalitions.
  • Identify and maintain relationships with policymakers and staff.
  • Inform attorneys, clients and trade associations about important legislative and regulatory developments.
  • Work closely with Marketing Department
  • Work with internal and external public relations
  • Monitor activities of competitors
  • Provide administrative support to the WPI team.
  • Identify and maintain metrics of soft and hard ROI. Examples of soft ROI include publications, presentations, and quotes in the media. Hard ROI will include the billings (fees received) for WPI clients and WPI projects.
  • Assist with special projects such as presentations to the Management Committee or Board, and the WPI mid-year and year-end reviews with the firm’s managing director.



QUALIFICATIONS:
