Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

  • Perform full-cycle accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records and general ledger accounts
  • Ensure the accuracy of ledger account entries and reconcile subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger
  • Record bank account activity in the general ledger for multiple bank accounts
  • Manage all aspects of fixed asset accounting for several entities, including maintaining subledgers, asset employment, and generating depreciation schedules
  • Assist in recording payroll and benefits transactions and reconcile to vendor reporting.

Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn and grow, and a commitment to being a key member of a high-performing team
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate development, commercial construction, property management, or a related field
  • Experience with fixed asset accounting is preferred
  • Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Experience with Sage Intacct is a plus but not required
