Senior Staff Accountant

Lennar Mortgage is seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our Accounting Department, you will be responsible for maintaining the organization's general ledger, providing analytical support, and assuming a lead role for the Staff Accountants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update community budgets to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Perform heavy journal entries during the month to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Conduct purchase agreement gross margin analysis to inform business decisions
  • Assist in preparing monthly reporting packages to provide stakeholders with timely and accurate financial information
  • Meet the monthly closing schedule, including monthly budget updates, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing property tax payments, personal property schedules, and G&A analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Review and prepare general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assist internal and external auditors as needed to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and process deposits to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned to support the Accounting Department
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree with emphasis in accounting and finance
  • 2+ years' experience in an accounting role
  • CPA preferred
  • Real estate and/or construction experience is a plus
  • Advanced Excel Skills, JD Edwards experience, and Essbase/Hyperion a plus
  • Exposure to fast-paced work environments
