We are currently partnered with a top Multi-Strategy Quant Hedge Fund looking to build a business strategy function overseeing one of their top performing business units within the firm. This firm is known for being an industry leader and fostering a culture of top performance across all aspects of their organization.


The Business Strategy lead will be working closely with the business line COO and help in efforts to further expand the business and improve the overall efficiency of the group. Responsibilities will include process optimization, leading business strategy, analyzing business growth opportunities, and monitoring business performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Business Unit Performance: Ensure the business unit achieves its performance targets and operational excellence.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the business unit.
  • Lead Transformation Efforts: Drive transformation initiatives to adapt to market changes, technological advancements, and organizational goals.
  • Develop Growth Strategies: Formulate and execute strategies for business growth, including market expansion, new product development, and partnership opportunities.
  • Business Direction: Provide strategic guidance and direction to senior management, influencing key decisions and shaping the future of the business unit.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align strategies and achieve business objectives.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data analysis and quantitative methods to support strategic decision-making and problem-solving.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in a top management consulting firm or a leading financial services firm.
  • Proven track record in business strategy, process optimization, and leading transformation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills, with a history of successful team management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organization.
  • Preferred: Understanding of the financial services industry, particularly within a quantitative fund context.
