Job Overview
A leading luxury consumer goods company is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Operating Officer to lead the overall operations and management of the company onsite in their NYC office. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned operations leader in the high-end consumer product industry, with a proven track record of driving business growth, improving processes, and building high-performing teams. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the COO will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring the company is aligned with its strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage overall company operations, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to drive growth and revenue expansion.
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to set the company's strategic direction and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence and improve business outcomes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Develop and manage budgets and financial plans, ensuring the company’s financial health and stability.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to the various company departments, including sales, marketing, and customer service.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Develop and maintain key relationships with stakeholders, including customers, partners, and investors.
- Identify and mitigate risks that could impact the company's operations and reputation.
- Manage and oversee major projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field is required. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in senior leadership roles, with a track record of driving business growth and success.
- Direct operations experience with a consumer goods company, preferably high-end/luxury products is required
- Strong operational management skills, with the ability to manage and oversee multiple departments and teams.
- Experience in business development and project management, with a focus on process improvement and innovation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and manage budgets and financial plans.
- Experience with change management and the ability to lead organizational transformation initiatives.
- In-depth understanding of accounting principles including budgeting, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, financial planning and capital planning management, with a focus on process improvement and cost reduction
