Position Overview:

As an Engineering Product Compliance Champion, you will be at the forefront of overseeing product configuration, design control, product standard continuity, and providing operational business support. Your role will ensure that engineering principles meet the highest standards of compliance and functionality throughout the product lifecycle.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all in-production products conform to required technical specifications and compliance standards.
  • Actively participate in cost reduction initiatives by optimizing product designs and implementing established best practices.
  • Assist in the analysis of product failures to determine root causes and develop effective corrective actions.
  • Author detailed technical reports related to failure analysis, identifying root causes and proposing corrective measures for in-production products.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for product features, options, and accessories.
  • Champion the adherence to and development of product technical standards and resources.
  • Provide essential support to the Quality and Manufacturing teams in resolving order fulfillment issues and ensuring timely shipments.
  • Offer technical expertise and verification of technical content to Product Management and Marketing teams.
  • Attend Engineering meetings with the Parent Company as required.
  • Proactively partner with the Operations team to maintain and improve product quality standards.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
  • Four (4) years of experience in product engineering or product development within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing Best Practices (Green Belt level or higher).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of motors, brake motors, motor standards (UL, MG1, CSA), and motor design and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with other rotating equipment, such as gearboxes, is preferred.
