Job Opportunity

Emprise Corporation, a leading provider of Predictive Maintenance and Condition Monitoring solutions, is seeking a skilled Marine Engineer to join our team in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on technical manuals, ship drawings, and regulatory requirements to develop and revise maintenance plans.
  • Perform ship-checks to validate maintenance plans and assist in condition monitoring system development.
  • Collaborate in the development, installation, and commissioning of condition monitoring systems.
  • Collect and validate diesel engine combustion data from operating machinery.
  • Support research projects and assist in root cause analysis investigations.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple project timelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • USCG Licensed Marine Engineers with sailing experience or experience with US Navy diesel system or propulsion plant inspections/assessments are preferred.
  • Experience with technical documentation, planned maintenance procedures, and operational procedures is required.
  • Knowledge of Colt-Pielstick PC2.5 and PA6B, FMOP 38 ND 8 1/8, Caterpillar 3608, and Diesel Maintenance Strategy (DMS) and Diesel Readiness System (DRS) programs is essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure are necessary.
  • Able to perform work in engine rooms and onboard ships while underway.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
  • Must be willing to travel (25% expected) and be a U.S. Citizen.
