Key Responsibilities:


  • Identify Land Opportunities: Research and identify potential land acquisition opportunities through networking, market analysis, and relationship building with landowners, brokers, and local authorities.
  • Conduct Due Diligence: Evaluate potential sites through thorough due diligence, including environmental assessments, zoning regulations, market feasibility studies, and financial analysis.
  • Negotiation and Acquisition: Lead negotiations with landowners and stakeholders to secure land deals that meet company requirements and objectives. Ensure all transactions comply with legal, financial, and regulatory standards.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, property values, and demographic shifts to make informed decisions about land acquisition strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the development, finance, legal, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of acquired land into the development pipeline.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with local government officials, community leaders, and other stakeholders to facilitate the approval and development process.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations on land acquisition activities, project timelines, and financial projections to senior management.


Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Urban Planning, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in land acquisition, real estate development, or a related field. Experience in residential homebuilding is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and real estate software applications.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal land use regulations and entitlement processes.
  • Attributes: Strategic thinker with a proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
